This article is dedicated to Daniel Villalba Mata, PhD. Agricultural Engineer and collaborator in Tests and Trials since the beginning, for having recently obtained his Professor position at the University of Lleida (UDL).

Daniel, “Dani”, obtained his PhD. in Agronomic Engineering at the UDL in the year 2000 and has a broad experience in the field of research within the agri-food industry: modeling of livestock systems, genetic improvement within the program of genetic improvement of the Brown Mountain breed, sustainable livestock systems and projects to promote organic production, …
His position is based on having a relevant experience as a teacher (an essential requirement to become a Professor):

In 2000 he became part of Tests and Trials as a collaborator and researcher in the trials. He is involved in the design and subsequent statistical analysis. In addition, with Alberto Morillo, Emilio López, and other personnel from T&T, he promotes the importance of data to make decisions by training companies in Statistics and posting articles in journals from the sector such as Suis or Albeitar.
